But recently Alexa Internet, Inc. as the company that handles Alexa.com has announced that it has decided to shut its site in 2022. Based on a report published on Alexa official website, it is clearly stated that Alexa Internet has decided to retire so that all services on Alexa.com will be discontinued starting May 1, 2022. “Twenty-five years ago, we founded Alexa Internet. After two decades of helping you find, reach, and convert your digital audience, we’ve made the difficult decision to retire Alexa.com on May 1, 2022. Thank you for making us your go-to resource for content research, competitive analysis, keyword research, and so much more.,” wrote Alexa Internet’s official statement. It is not known exactly why Alexa Internet has decided to discontinue its service on Alexa.com. Even though as at the time of this publication, the website is still used by many people to conduct a detailed analysis of the website. However, with this decision, starting on December 8, 2021, the Alexa subscription service will be finally closed and customers with existing subscriptions will continue to have access to their subscriptions until May 1, 2022 UTC.
